Community Integration Counselor

This position is designed to help individuals more effectively cope with the adjustment process of living in the community with a TBI and/or other disabilities. Hours are flexible and may include daytime, evening and weekend shifts. Full-time salary is dependent upon applicant's abilities and experience.    .   

 

The qualifications required for this position are as follows:

 

Applicants must be one of the following:

     1. Licensed Psychiatrist;

2. Licensed Psychologist;

3. Master of Social Work;

4. Master or Doctorate of Psychology;

5. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor;

6. Master of Counseling Psychology;

7. Licensed Mental Health Practitioner; or

8. Certified Special Education Teacher.

 

Along with the education component, applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing adjustment related counseling to individuals with physical, developmental or psychiatric disabilities.

 

 

 

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Services Specialist

This position is designed to teach individuals with TBI with behavioral difficulties the skills to manage their behaviors more effectively. Full-time salary is dependent upon applicant's abilities and experience. 

 

Applicants must be one of the following:

1.  Person with a Bachelor's Degree;

2.  Registered Professional Nurse;

3.  Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; or

4.  Physical Therapy Assistant.

 

Along with the education component, applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience working with people with traumatic brain injury, other disabilities or behavioral difficulties.  

 

 

 

Independent Living Skills Trainer

This position is designed to teach individuals with TBI and/or other disabilites and their supports more effective ways to manage activities of daily living including areas such as grocery shopping, money management and organization.  Hours are flexible and may include daytime, evening and weekend shifts.  Full-time salary is dependent upon applicant's abilities and experience.   

The qualifications required for this position are as follows:

Applicants must be one of the following:

1.  Registered Occupational Therapist;

2.  Registered Physical Therapist;

3.  Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist;

4.  Registered Professional Nurse;

5.  Certified Special Education Teacher;

6.  Certified Rehabilitation Counselor;

7.  Master of Social Work; or

8.  Master or Doctorate of Psychology.

 

Along with the education component, applicants must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience completing functionally based assessments, developing a comprehensive treatment plan and teaching individuals with disabilities to be more functionally independent;     OR

 An individual with a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of similar experience;                                 OR

 An individual with an Associates degree and three (3) years of similar experience;                            OR

An individual with a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and four (4) years of similar experience.
