Venture Forthe Offers Traumatic Brain Injury Support in Buffalo, NY

Venture Forthe understands that TBI's are a unique medical condition.  Due to this fact, the agency offers a specialized care approach to individuals who want to regain their independence and live in the community where they belong.

Traumatic brain injuries (TBI's) are life altering and, without therapy and support, can leave an individual feeling isolated and confused.  Previously, some TBI survivors would end up in nursing homes or other facilities where the care they received was not always appropriate for their specialized needs.  Realizing this, organizations like Venture Forthe began offering the Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver Program (TBI Waiver Program) which gives individuals with brain injuries a chance to continue living in their communities and avoid being placed in a nursing facility.  The TBI Waiver provides a range of community support services to individuals with brain injuries between the ages of 18 to 64.

Venture Forthe's specialized care approach includes:

  • Service Coordination
  • Home and Community Support Services
  • Independent Living Skills Training
  • Community Integration Counseling
  • Structured Day Program
  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
  • Community Transition Services
