Each week, participants in Venture Forthe’s Structured Day Program look forward to spending time with Daisy Medina, enjoying the benefits of chair yoga.

Daisy has been practicing yoga for more than a decade and became a certified Personal Trainer last year. She now dedicates her time to teaching group fitness and seated or standing yoga classes designed especially for vulnerable and diverse populations.
Chair and standing yoga offer incredible benefits for individuals of all abilities. These practices help improve muscular strength, endurance, mobility, and flexibility through poses that engage multiple muscle groups at once. Yoga encourages participants to stay present—focusing on how the body moves and feels rather than letting the mind wander.
A key element of Daisy’s sessions is breathwork, which helps participants sink deeper into poses, increase relaxation, and clear the mind. Through guided breathing and gentle movement, each class becomes not just exercise, but an opportunity for connection, calm, and personal growth.
