John Dziewit, was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps serving from 1969-1971 and is a Vietnam veteran. John always knew he had a passion for helping people. After his military service, he went on to receive his Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and has been dedicated to the health care industry ever since. John started Venture Forthe with his wife, co-founder Jean (Hogan), in 1997, and the two continue to help people meet their goals of successfully living independently within the community.
Prior to Venture Forthe, John served as clinical director at Brylin Hospital and then as clinical director for Lockport Memorial Hospital. John is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Jean has an extensive background in business.
John and Jean, along with the rest of the leadership team, have continued to expand the lines of home health care Venture Forthe offers in order to help as many individuals as possible remain in the comfort of their homes and communities where they can best achieve their maximum potential and independence.
As Chief Executive Officer, David plans, organizes, and leads the day-to-day activities of the agency. David started at Venture Forthe as an office manager, scheduler and field employee. In 2007 he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
During his time at Venture Forthe, David has worked in many departments and capacities, and played an integral part in the Venture Forthe licensure process, our bid to become a Nursing Home Transition and Diversion Waiver provider and the expansion of the Rochester, Canandaigua and Jamestown offices. David graduated with honors from Auburn University with a degree in business administration.
As President, James has his eye on the total well-being of the company and leads enterprise compliance efforts. He is responsible for designing and implementing internal controls to assure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations and third party guidelines. James manages audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues and responds to requests for information from regulatory bodies.
James joined Venture Forthe in 2008 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Binghamton University, where he graduated Cum Laude. He received membership to Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering Honor Society, and is a member of Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity. James is an active member of Big Brothers of Erie County, a former Division 1 collegiate wrestler and current Section 6 wrestling officiant.
