Medicaid & Payment

Arizona Medicaid (AHCCCS)’s Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS), funds in-home care through Agency with Choice so eligible members can receive support at home instead of in a facility. Medicaid determines eligibility, authorizes services and hours, and sets reimbursement, while caregivers are paid for approved hours. Venture Forthe manages caregiver enrollment, payroll, tax reporting, and compliance to ensure everything is accurate and on time.

ALTCS pays for Agency with Choice services once you’re enrolled and approved. To start:

• You must be an AHCCCS ALTCS member
• Your case manager assesses your care needs and determines if you meet the level of support required for in-home services
• If you qualify, a plan is created that documents what services are needed
• Once the plan is approved, Medicaid pays for services delivered according to that plan

Under Agency with Choice, you select and manage your caregivers, including schedules and daily tasks, while Venture Forthe ensures caregivers are trained, supported, and paid accurately and on time.
