The Brain Injury (BI) Waiver is a Health First Colorado Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver that helps eligible members with qualifying brain injuries receive services and supports in their homes and communities.
Venture Forthe provides Respite Care for eligible BI Waiver members, supporting continuity of care while giving family caregivers time to rest, recharge, and manage other responsibilities.
Respite Care provides temporary, dependable support when a primary caregiver needs time away from their caregiving responsibilities. During authorized respite services, Venture Forthe caregivers provide compassionate support so the member can continue receiving care while their regular caregiver rests, attends appointments, manages personal responsibilities, or takes time to recharge.
Services may include personal care and daily living support, companionship and engagement, meal preparation, safety monitoring, assistance with daily routines, and other authorized support based on individual needs.
The BI Waiver is available to eligible Health First Colorado members who meet applicable program requirements and have qualifying needs related to a brain injury.
Eligibility is determined through Health First Colorado and the appropriate assessment and case management process based on individual circumstances and program requirements.
